Schmölzer & Brown - Prêt-Á-Rouge

This is a blend of 70:30 Beechworth Shiraz and Pinot Noir from vineyards under uncertified organic management. 2021 was one of the better Beechworth vintages, so this wine absolutely delivers layers of red-fruited enjoyment, savoury complexity and satisfying structure to length. For the first time, there’s about 10% new oak, which simply underpins that evident structure. Think dense black cherry, blood plum, a crinkle of bay leaf herbage and dark sweet florals.
