Honest Wines - Time To Dance Grenache
Grenache Noir grown by the Valenti family in the Swan Valley. Few vineyards tick all the boxes, but this one does - dry grown, own rooted, bush vines on sandy gravel soils.
Hand-picked fruit was destemmed into open top fermenters with roughly 30% whole cluster inclusion. Ferment was handled very gently as working with old vines you don’t need much extraction, the concentration is already there. Basket pressed to old neutral oak for 7 months. No rackings were done until just prior to bottling in order to preserve fruit and freshness of the final wine.
The resulting wine is fresh and fruit-driven with characteristic cherry notes, great served with a little bit of a chill in the warmer months.
