David Moreau - Santenay Rouge 'Cuvee S'

The 2023 Santenay Cuvée S, named after Moreau's grandmother Simone, comes from colluvial soils that tend to suffer millerandage. It has a refined and elegant bouquet with red cherries and crushed strawberry scents - fine mineralité here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, an "airy" Santenay with impressive purity and grace. Feels very sustained on the finish. I feel it will gain more intensity with age.
