This is the promised land for those of you looking for high quality, handmade, estate bottled Burgundy at a fair price.
The 2023 Santenay Beaurepaire ler Cru, vinified with 15-20% whole bunch, has a perfumed bouquet with redcurrant, raspberry and crushed stone scents. It is quite airy in style, but there is real fruit concentration here. The palate is well balanced with a fresh entry. Bright and effervescent, it's sorbet-fresh, with blood orange intermixing with red fruit on the finish. Very fine.
